Going On Vacation W 2 Kids Any Advice

My husband, 2 year old, 8 month old, and I are driving down to the beach for spring break. It's a 13 hour drive AHHHH! We took the trip last year when I was pregnant with my daughter and my son did really well with the drive. We're staying for a week and driving back home. It's my dad's beach home and I've gone every year since I was a child so it's not like we're going somewhere that I don't know. I'm confident I can handle the drive and packing because I'm really organized and whatnot but does anyone have any advice that they think would be helpful for the trip? We had a car bottle warmer but it didn't work well, how did you warm your bottles in the car? Thanks everyone!

bump. All the drama threads are ruining real "infant care" questions...

I'd say that you could take a thermos of warm water to make the bottles with...it'd be easier than having to stop at rest stops along the way. Hope you guys have a great vacation! I'm counting down the days till ours! :o)

lol brittney...well definanly make plenty of stops. I would suggest every hour if the kids are awake...if they arent then keep driving ! Take lots of toys and things for them to do and keep them occupied. CD's for the car of kids songs is always a winner. Kepp snacks and a cooler stocked in te car to avoid unncesscery stops. We went to the beach when my DS was 6 weeks old and my oldest was 3.5. It did really good with all of these helpful hints.
