I am a member of a mothers club on myspace. There was a bulletin posted on my page that I looked at its about how some companies will do anything to get ahead. This ad is by ikea. only good thing is that the child probably doesn't know what he is playing with!!! go to youtube and search Ikea Kids........ what do you ladies think of this? It's a real commercial.

I have not looked at the web site, but was wondering how you are getting along. So how are you? Are you home or with your folks?

Honestly, I think its hilarious. I don't imagine it will air anywhere other than the Internet, do you? I don't watch much TV, so I wouldn't really know if it has been on. They probably told him it was a rocket or something....

I think the concept is gross.

to kellens mom, Im doing good at my parents got some free time,I'm fixing to get a car! so now I can get a job.yay for me LOL....... to mcatherine I thought it was funny until it hit me, that's a vibrator. I would freak if I ever caught dd playing with one thinking it was a rocket!!! I hope it doesn't air on tv. It just makes me think of how I'm probably not going to be able to explain things to dd when I feel the time is right because she is going to have the internet!

Too funny! I am glad to hear that you are doing well. From your writing tone, it sounds like you are feeling up beat and doing well. Good for you.

Commercials are getting so nasty these days. It's like they think they need the whole SHOCK thing to get people to buy a product. I have news for them, I remember the name of the company was IKEA, but I don't even remember what they were selling....what good does it do to remember a company's name but not their product? I see other commercials too though that aren't dirty, but are really quite funny and I'll be telling my sister or someone about it but can't remember the product or what the commercial was for. To me a good advertis____nt is not only entertaining but you can actually remember what they were advertising. I loved the first Got MIlk? commercials.

I thought the commercial was funny - I don't think it would be too funny to find my OWN child playing with one..lol!

I can say it made me laugh and think...hmmm need a lock for that drawer

That was hilarious and totoally inappropriate lol I mean making the commercial included actually giving a child a vibrator to play with....

was this the vibrator commercial?? Ok i have a funny story about that very topic: when i was a nanny the mom had left her "love ball" on her bed its a remote controlled ball that vibrates(remote was attached by a wire) anyway her 7 year old son found it and comes downstairs with it turning it on and off, (she and i were getting dinner ready) and he says "whats this" well she freaked and the first thing she could think of to say was "its a cat toy" HAHAH!! oh god i was almost peeing my pants at this point (i guess it is a "cat" toy) anyway he comes home from school the next day with his friend and as soon as he is in the house yells out "mom wheres that cat toy marshall and i want to play with the cats" i thought she was going to die, i couldn't stop laughing...i'm laughing about it right now. We told it was borken and that was the end of that...toys go in high places or locked drawers!! LOL!!

Was the commercial for an actuall vibrator??? I didn't really get the point. I think its one of those things thats funny until you think about if it was your child.lol.

OMG the cat toy remark, LOL, that is freakin hilarious. Thee commercial was part of Ikea's "Tidy Up" ad campaign, they are trying to make the point to put stuff away, stupid I know, there are more on YouTube, all just as dumb.
