I took my little one to the doctor last week on monday. he said that the white bumps/patches on her lips and inside of her cheek was thrush. he prescribed her Nysatin. The medication says for them to leave it in their mouth for a period of time. My question is: how do you do that with a one year old? Also, does anyone know how long thrush lasts? She never did get it on her tongue. The white on her lips cleared up but she still has white bumps on the inside of the corner of her mouth and cheek? Is this normal...and how long does it usually last. I can't find that info on the internet.

I just went to the doc on monday cause we have it too. My doc says that it only last a week to 10 days. But sometimes it comes back. I am bf and so I have it too. It can go back and forth between us for a long time I have heard. To prevent re-occurences If you wash all toys that have gone in her mouth. All stuffed animals need to be in direct sun for at least an hour to kill the bacterica. Also if she uses a soother it needs to be boiled daily for 20 mins. Also water 125 degrees will kill it . I know it is a pain in the a__s. Good luck I hope it goes away . For both your sake and mine
