i've been wiping his hands alot, and keeping him in side, and trying to get him to nap more, hes 7 1/2 months and never been sick once and he doesn't seem to be getting sick do you think the doc would have me do anything else?

Try not to worry too much. Yes, RSV is contagious (airborne) to anyone. It is a virus like any other repiratory virus. When we get it, we call it a "cold". Your baby is old enough, that if he gets it, it will VERY likely be nothing more than a cold. The reason we hear so much about it, is because it can make little babies, especially preemies, quite sick. The problem is how much mucus it makes in their airways, making it hard for a little one to breath (as they can't clear their airways yet) and b/c it can hit them harder than us. Your baby should be fine. Take care!
