Help With Flat Spot

Hi Ladies. I am new to the forum and have an 8 week dd. I noticed about 3 weeks ago that her head has a bump on th right side and slightly flat on the left. At her two month appointment her ped. said she has a flat spot but that it will probably correct itself. I do about 30 minutes of tummy time a day and hold her a lot, but she does sleep on her back. Do any of you have suggestions to round out her head?

All three of my kids had trouble with this. It's from the baby preferring to turn their head to one side a lot. My ped gave me exercises to do to improve it... as their necks can get tight and make it hard for them to turn their head. You turn their head to one side when they are laying down and gently ma__sage the muscles at the base of the neck (where neck meets shoulder basically... and on the opposite side as their face is facing). Then you turn their head to the other side and do the same on that side. For about 30 seconds each side and at every diaper change. My kids' heads all evened out by about 5 months.

We had a sleep positioner (for SIDS) and it had a memory foam pillow attached to it. My dd NEVER got flat head. I don't know if it is b/c of that pillow thing, but it worked for us!! We got it at Target
