ok jordan was really sick for like 10 days, so i had him sleeping with me, he never co-slept with me before, but now i can't put him back in his crib, i guess i fell in love with the comfort of co-sleeping, even after jordan was feeling better i would make stuff up so he would sleep on the couch and jordan could sleep with me, problem is i don't want to make this a habit, and dh is gone on a business trip so it will be even harder for me to put him in his crib, what should i do?

Hi I have the same problem. My son was sick and I started sleeping with him on the couch for a few hours. He's in his crib until 5AM and then wants to be held. So I give in and sleep with him. I'm pregnant again so I'm trying to break the habit now before I get any bigger! lol I've just been trying to be consistant by putting him in his crib. It's hard though, especially if you're tired it's easy to give in. Sorry I don't have any other advice, I'm going through it myself! How old is Jordan? Good luck!

if it's hard for you to break the habit because YOU don't want to... maybe you can transition yourself. make a little palet on the floor next to his crib for a night or 2, that way you know he's safe, you can hear him breathing, and you still get a little bit of compansionship. i always get in the habit of co sleeping when dh goes to iraq, or to school. Now I put the kids to bed in their room and they just come to bed with me in the middle of the night. I don't mind, we just need a bigger bed now that we have 2 kids! :)
