Does anybody know in general, how many months Old a baby is when they learn to lift their head?? Please let me know, I am sooo curious.

I think that every baby is different and has a different learning curve, but in general, you should see her start to lift her head at 3 months old. That's what I've been told anyways. I'm still pregnant now and this is my first child.

It will vary with every child. But around 1, and 2 months old. My daughter started lifting her head up when she was only a couple weeks old. Shes now 2 and half months old and she can hold her head up on her own completley when Im holding her.

6 months

both my kids were trying to hold their heads up right away and had mastered it by 10 weeks old. if your baby cannot lift their head by 3 months you should go see your dr.

If you put your baby on her tummy when she's awake (like on a blanket on the floor), it helps her learn to lift her head sooner. Also, the best guide I've found to when babies do what is "What to Expect the First Year." It has a chapter for each month, with the things that the baby should be able to do, and then more things that the baby may be able to do. It also has info on illness, when to call the doc, basic baby care, etc.

Every baby is different. My daughter could lift her head immediately. She was born by c-section and when they put her sideways on my chest, she lifted her head staight up to look at me. It was so neat! She's now 3 weeks old and has excellent head control.

It all depends on your baby, all babies are different. My son was a big baby and he started lifting his head at 4 months. But my cousins' son started lifting his head at 2 months.

MY DAUGHTERS LIFTED THEIR HEADS WHEN THE WERE 2 WEEKS OLD AND MY SON CAME OUT HOLDING HIS HEAD UP. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE CHILD

Same here......both my kids held their heads up right after birth, but it varies from child to child all over the map!

my baby sister lifted her head up like when she was 1 day old.

My son lifted his head the next day after he was born. I had him laying on my chest and he lifted his little head and looked at me. It was SOOO cute!

2 days old....

My mother pointed it out the day I brought her home from the hospital. Stupid me didn't know this was unusual so I wasn't looking before. :)

My son attempted to hold his head about about a month but wasn't very stable. He's 4 months now and seems to have decent control over it now.
