How Much Does Your Lo Feed

HI, my ds has about 80ml/3 fl oz every 3-4 hours. He's only 11days old. Is this normal? Should he be having more/less? How old is your little one and what are they feeding? Thanks guys,

Sounds normal to me. My daughter was one of those 2 ounces every two hours kind of babies and she was gaining weight great. At 10 days she had gained almost 5 ounces, which is great because they only want them to be back at their birth weight at two weeks of age.

I had the same question on another thread. Someone suggested they should get 2 1/2 oz for every pound they weigh. That sounds pretty good. Just expect that he may want to feed sooner as he becomes a little more alert. I have been told every 2 1/2-3 hours to feed when they are this young...it varied the first couple weeks with my daughter since all she wanted to do was sleep! Now she is almost 4 weeks old and I would say she has 2 1/2-3 oz average every 2 1/2-3 hours. She is gaining weight and am I am changing her diaper often so I a__sume she is getting what she needs!

Oh, and if you are giving him some formula he can go a bit longer between feedings...I guess it fills them up a bit more than b___stmilk?
