How Often To Burp Breastfeeding Baby

How often do you br___tfeeding mothers burp your baby during a feed? Do you only burp once at the end, or do you stop them in the middle of the feed to burp also? I have been trying to brup my baby alot b/c she gulps in alot of air, and then gets fussy b/c of gas. However, she gets irritated when I stop her constantly during the feed to burp her, and I think that tends to overstimulate her, and she has a hard time going to sleep aterwards. How do you all do it?

In the daytime, if she stays awake, after every feed (or between if switching b___sts). Otherwise I let her sleep and burp her after she wakes up.

Hi Jenn2! Unless Paia comes off my b___st, I will usually wait until she is finished before trying to burp her. Or if she is falling asleep at the b___st (which she does often) I will take her off gently to burp her mainly to get her to wake up a bit. Sometimes she will burp and other times not. I understand about the overstimulating...especially during night feedings when I don't want her to have trouble falling asleep afterwards! : )

I normally wait until my baby is done feeding then I will burp her.She is usually pretty quick to burp or either she will do it before I can even get her up to my shoulder.Sometimes though when she doesn't I worry that she will be fussy with a tummy ache later.
