my ds will be 4 months on saturday, he still eats every 2-2.5 hrs. some days he seems to just nibble evry 2 hrs, 3oz and then 1 hr later wanting another 3oz. other days he will eat a whole 5 or 6 oz in a sitting. so he is showing me that he should be able to go longer for feeding then and he will eat a full bottle then, right? BUt how can i get him to accept eating every 3-4 hrs instead of 2.hoping he will eat a full bottle and then it will hopfully help with his nights and keep him from getting up so much to eat. help... any suggestions? oh and with out him freaking.... as right now he cries and cries at 2 - 2.5 hrs for food.

I am not sure what to tell you. My DS is 6 1/2 months old and has been on a schedule from birth. It was every 3 hours, but now it is every 4 hours. I think I switched around 3 or 4 months old. He gets 5 1/2 ounces every 4 hours, and if he cries in between I give him something else to occupy him or play with him or make sure that it is not something else bothering him besides being hungry.

Hi there, i know some mothers sometimes have to use water to spred out the feedings. Is your holes in your nipples small? Some babys like bigger holes and sometimes they eat more at a feeding.

ya i moved up to stage 2 nipples and he was gulping and it was creeping out of the corners of his mouth.
