How Will I Know When He Is Teething

My ds is 4 months old and has been drooling more than usual as well as sticking his hand in his mouth and crying. But I can't tell if the crying is because his gums hurt or he's crying for some other reason and just happens to put his hands near his mouth anyway. How did you know when your lo was teething for sure? And what do you use to relieve their pain? What else should I know (will he get fever too, how long does teethign pain last, etc)??

Ok this is what I have noticed from my dd, when she was teething she has excessive drool, she fusses much more than normal and acts all out of sorts, she also has diarrea for about one day because of all the drool. Then I felt the little sharp point of the tooth, 2 days later there was the second one. Teething pain can be fast like my dd or long and arduous like some of the ladies babies on here, it depends on the child. You can use infant pain reliever or teething gel for the pain. Symptoms vary also some babies get runny noses, some don't, it just depends. Good luck.

Ava started teething ar 2 months and got two teeth at 4 months. She was drooling and putting her hand and other things in her mouth and crying also. I used baby orajell and infant Tylenol and gave her teethes to bite on. Also, don't forget to give him an extra dose of love =)
