I started Emma in daycare part-time a week early before I go back full time. She's there 5 hours today and three yesterday. I have to admit I held it together pretty good. I didn't cry but I hate sitting here thinking about her. I'm swamped so that helps time go by. I pumped too and that went okay but I dread next week when we have to get up at the crack of dawn to get going. I think it helps I know she's only a few blocks away from me but I'm still debating staying home. I told the DH I'd give it one month and see how I feel then and if I can still do transcription full-time out of my house. They haven't decided if they want someone full-time or not as I'd be contracting work for them and be my own business but I want a guarantee 40 hours worth of work or it's not worth it and I couldn't afford to stay home if it were any less. I miss her :( I think I feel guilty more than anything. I hope she's okay. She said she was fine yesterday and only cried once cus she was sleeping in the swing and the other kids woke up from their naps and got loud and startled her and she cried. Poor little Em.....

Aww! How hard it is, I know. I know I feel guilty and my son is fine when I am gone. That's good that you get to ease her into it. See how it goes, I'm sure it will be fine. It is harder on us! Glad you are hanging in there! It will get better!

That's what I keep telling myself. That it's harder on me than her and she's probably just fine and will enjoy being there when she's old enough to figure out what's going on! I just feel guilty. Like I should be spending the precious time with her but I'm off at 3:00 so it's not like some of my friends who don't get home till 6 or 7 at night and they're putting them to bed an hour later. Ugh! I couldn't do that. A friend of mine said her baby calls her daycare lady MOM cus he's there like 10 hours a day cus her commute is over 2 hours long every day. I couldn't do that. I'd have to be in the same town as she is or I'd worry about not getting there if there's an emegency!
