Hello ladies! I hope you all made it! Any other July/06 mommies are welcome to join!

Ahhhh...that's better! Well, Carly hates vegetables. She hates green beans, squash and peas. She spits them out and laughs like it is the funniest thing in the world. So yesterday I tricked her. I mixed peas and pears and guess what? She ate them like a champ! Gross for adults but yum yum for babies!

Dawn - January 20

Deb-I have found with Lucy that she loves fruit like bananas and blue berries, she likes some veg like b___ternut squase and califlower cheese but hates Carrots. She gags when I give her carrot, I have tried mixing it with sweetcorn but she just spits it out.

So far, Nathan has loved all the veggies I have given him (sweet potatos, squash, carrots, and green beans) and of course the fruits. But I did notice that he doesn't take that much milk anymore? Has this happen to anyone?

Hey Ladies! This is much much better....short and sweet! Hailey is a great eater...she'll eat anything i put in her mouth!.....She's even eaten chuncks of banana...which took awhile for her to get use to and she loves cheerio's! I'm going to start and buy the junor baby food with chuncks because it's gonna take her awhile to get use to! Marie-I've noticed Hailey has been eating 1/2 oz less sometimes...it depends how long after shes eaten that I give her a bottle....I try to give her solid foods in the morning 8-8:30am, noon and about 5-5:30pm. Deb-Have you recieved a form from the gov regarding something about working families and child care?? I'm pretty sure its like $1200/yr per child......do you know what I'm talking about? I finally just recieved my child tax credit...which was very nice to get! Anyways ladies...hope everyones weekend is going well!

Hi, my baby was born 7/14. Bananas make her constipated. Applesauce makes her cheeks bright red ( hiney and face) and give her a diaper rash. Sweet potatoes give her the runs... She does OK with Pears. Thats it so far. Do ya'll still mix the fruit with rice cereal? OR give rice cereal by itself? My baby has no teeth...

Deb - January 21

Welcome Keli! I usually mix fruit into her cereal because she won't eat it otherwise. Come to think of it, I pretty much have to mix fruit into everything she eats...I guess she is a sugaraholic!

Hi Keli! My baby was born 7/14 too. She hates fruit! It's so weird. Then again I do have weird children. I have an 8 year old too, and I swear the kid has never done anything that was normal! :O} Anywho, Carly loves b___ternut squash and sweet potatoes. Carrots, peas, and green beans are ok, but she'd rather have sweet potatoes. She HATES apples, applesauce, and apple juice. Not fond of pears or peaches either. She'll at least let you put bananas in her mouth.....and she would rather die than have to eat cereal! She had her 6 month appt on Tues. She weighs 16 lbs 5 oz, and is 27 3/4 inches long. She's at the top of the charts for height, and in the middle for weight. I'm so glad she's tall, because if not, she'd sure be one fat baby! :O} She has no teeth either, but I'm ok with not. NOT looking forward to those little razors on my b___bs! She's not crawling, but she will roll all over the place. She will sit for a minute before she topples over. And oh yeah, she is the CUTEST baby in the whole wide world! No offense girls! ;O] Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Keli - January 21

Cyndi, I also have a 9 yr old son. No kids in between the 2 kiddos... Molly was 17 lbs, 27 inches at her 6 mos apt. She hates to be on her tummy, or her back. Right now, she will sit ( you have to put her there) for hours on her bottom. Sometimes she falls over, and screams bloody murder for you to sit her back up. When she does get on her tummy ( not for long) she will move her hiney and legs in a crawling position. Very nice to meet all of you.

hey girls! sounds like everyone is doing good! Farrah's favorite foods so far are carrots and peas. she isn't much of a fruit eater but recently she has taken to prunes. she's been constipated and it's been SO SO sad girls! she was waking up in the middle of the night just screaming trying to poo!!! Finally after lots of prunes and a couple of glycerin tabs we are finally getting some where. Her teeth are a b___h! I'm sorry but they are! she has two and I SWEAR its like she is trying to skin my nipple with them! I tell her NO and remove myself from her mouth but some times its just a quick little chomp that I can't do much about it! except scream in pain! any how, my milk supply is really low. DEB I wanted to ask you about those pills your dr gave you to increase your milk supply. what dr did you ask? should I call Farrah's peditrician? I can just tell I'm not making that much. I'm going to change up my diet a bit and see if that helps too. all right girls we're off to church! have a great week!

Deb - January 21

Liv - the drug was called Domperidone. It was prescribed by my family doctor, who is also Carly's doctor. It helped, but I was still running out of milk by the end of the day and ended up giving her a bottle of formula anyway. I just made the decision to stop taking the meds and let nature take its course, but now I'm a bit depressed. I thought I would still be able to b___stfeed her throughout the day and maybe have to give her an extra bottle nearer to the end of the day, but after being off the meds for three days, I feel like I have NO milk (except for first feed of the day). By her second feed today, she got really cranky and I wasn't sure if it was lack of milk or teething. I gave her a bottle and she CHUGGED 5 oz after I had b___stfed her. I had a little cry because I am not prepared to stop bfing completely but it is looking like that's what I am going to have to do. I'm going to maybe try to just bf her 3 times a day instead of 5 and see if there is enough milk for that. The supply and demand thing just isn't working because she sucks a lot and I don't make any more milk. I also drink a lot of water which is supposed to help milk supply. The reason I stopped the meds is because you have to take 2 pills four times a day and I was having a tough time remembering to take the meds. It became a bit of a pain in the b___t. Also I really wanted to make it to 6 months with b___stfeeding and I have accomplished that. I am just sad because I enjoy it and I didn't think my supply would go down that quickly. Victoria - I think you are talking about the Universal Child Care benefit. I have been receiving that since September as I applied for it when Carly was born.

CyndiG - January 21

How funny is that Keli??? My 8 year old is a girl. But that's too weird. She will be 9 on June 24th. Did you plan them far apart, or what? My dh just said no more after Morgan. Then it took me 7 years to wear him down. By the time Carlie was born Morgan had turned 8. I'm pretty sure Carlie's it. Just because I don't think I'll ever talk him into doing it again. And I'm not sure I want to either. (Just some emotions I've been processing the past week or two.) Deb, I'm sorry about the bf-ing. That makes me sad for you. But like you said, you made it 6 months, and the bright side is, there's some freedom in it. Carlie WILL NOT take a bottle. I don't care what I do. So we are hooked together at the b___b and lips! :O} But I understand how you feel. I would be sad too.

Keli - January 21

Liv, I took Fenugreek to help my milk supply. It really works. Its an herbal supplement. I took 3 pills 3x a day. Ask your Dr. Cyndi, this is my second marriage. My first husband, I was married 7 yrs, he cheated, I left. I remarried to a WONDERFULL man, he was 35 when I met him, no kids. 3 yrs later we were married and pregnant. This is my last. I feel "old" ( 34) but this c section was hard on me. Anyways, I got my tubes tied at the time of the csection. My son is a GREAT help! He's such a good kid, I am so proud of the big brother he is. He's so sweet to her. BTW, how are your babies sleeping? Mine was doing good, till a few weeks ago, she is waking at 4am. We feed her, then put her in the swing till she wakes up. I know, a bad habit, but I have to go to work in the morning. I do Elem. PE. My husband works the night shift, and has Tue,Wed Thu off. So the baby doesnt go to daycare. But, she was sleeping till 8am... I don't know what has changed....

Deb - January 21

My guess is that she is teething. I've heard that a lot that babies who normally sleep well start waking up in the night when they are teething. I know how you feel...Carly used to sleep until 8am every day and lately she's been getting up earlier and earlier. Today she woke at 6:30 (which I know isn't that bad) but I have been a zombie all day long. I've been spoiled for a long time, but I think the dream is over!

Victoria_1985 - January 21

Hey ladies! Welcome Keli! Deb-I'm so sorry to about the bfing, maybe try the Fenugreek...I used it and it helped me alot when I was still bfing.....makes you smell like maple syrup tho...lol! And yes thats what I was talking about......I just recieved a thing in the mail......I wasn't sure if I qualified for it, I guess I'll call tomorrow and talk to someone.... ohhhhhhh.......Hailey started rolling over when shes sleeping and wakes herself up......she wont go back to sleep unless I flip her over.......and then 2 hours later shes back on her tummy.....I feel like I have a new born again!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well.....I have the rest of my life to sleep...lol I'm off to bed...nighty night

livdea - January 21

hey keli and deb! thanks for the advice on what to take for bf-ding!! It's still Farrah's main source of food intake and I think I've been lacking production b/c I've been super stressed and just blah lately!! gotta change that up! :) We'll see! Welcome Welcome Keli!!! Now that Farrah has been teething she's waking up more at night too. Not fun! so with two teeth cut within a day of eachother that's a lot going on! so she feels better, especially since we've gotten the constipation problem taken care of now! I wonder Deb, if there is anything else you can do about your milk. I don't think I'll ever want to give it up. :( alright girls...have a great great week!

livdea - January 21
