Excited--what is the 4 month wakeful period?

excited2bemama - October 2

LOL- There has been alot of people on this forum talking about it and if you look on kelly mom it takes about it- BOTH wailing and I experienced it- YOur baby sleeps great and then all of a sudden they are waking up several times a night- Keira went from waking up once in 12 hours to waking up 3-5 times. Sometimes its hunger- they are too excited and curious during the day to eat as much and sometimes its not hunger.

Brooke, is just the opposite. She hit 3 1/2 months and stated sleeping all night. Shestays awake more during the day. She goes down around 8:30-8:45 and sleeps to about 6:00-6:45. She has only been getting up once a ight since she was around 8 weeks so she is doing good with the sleeping for now, but she might change. Hope not I am enjoying this.

Good morning all. Jenna is doing sooo much better sleeping.. still getting up at 1:00-1:30 but this morning woke up at 5:15... the book says do not go to them until 6 or they will begin to wake up earlier and earlier... they WANT our company right now and we have to teach them that they need sleep... So i let her stay in there until 5:45... after I took my shower. She just played, hit her light up thing... and talked. Soo much better lately!!! Hopefully it stays this way! :) MEMPHIS.. my son has not got the "official" diagnosis.. but the specialist says she believes it is aspergers.. it is an autism spectrum disorder. It seems to really fit. There is no "cure" no magic "pill" but therapy has shown to help and really give a good outlook for the future. It is nice to have someone finally say.. yes, there is something off.... rather than.. "he's just a boy".. I AM HIS MOTHER.. I KNOW WHEN SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT!! ALWAYS trust your instincts ladies.. it won't lead you wrong! So now we go back in 2 weeks and she will go over what she thinks and if we get the official diagnosis we will start applying for services from the county for occupational therapy. He may be a child that needs a para in schools to help him... and we may be able to get some help in daycare to help him play and communicate and to help my sister learn what to do... All the help we can get.... both for us and for him. Thanks for asking. I feel better knowing we are on the right track. Like my girlfriend said.. now we at least have access to Jacksons operating manual and someone to help us read it!

I hope Josephine doesn't hit some wakeful period, now more than ever I need to sleep. I all of a sudden got SOOOO much work from school, like it's amazing you'd think I was taking 7 cla__ses not 2! I'm really stressed out about it because there are a lot of things around the house I was hoping to get done too. There really does not seem to be enough time! PEBBLES- My best friend has aspergers and so does my cousin. I don't know if there are different degrees of it or what not but my best friend was diagnosed young and she still has problems but she's on some medication (I'm not sure what but she's been on it since she was a child) and it helps A LOT. Anyone who just meets her wouldn't notice anything, just if you know her really well. She might be different though because she has a lot of anxiety and takes anti-depressants for it too and I don't know if that's part of aspergers. Anyway, it's good to get diagnosed young, I know your son will get the treatment he needs and live a normal life! You're in my prayers!

Too funny... Excited.. Jenna was sitting up in church. Had her leaning back on me and she would tighten up and sit up.. I thought it was a fluke but she kept doing it. They are growing.. Impatient. I could not imagine having school right now.. you are a strong lady... wow! Thanks also for the information on aspergers. We would like to go without meds... but I never rule anything out!

PEBBS--glad you are getting some answers. What kind of behaviors does Jackson display that made you get him evaluated? He is a precious little boy...looks like a little doll in pictures. I know you love him no matter what you have to do for him! Sophia's naps are all wacked out today. She is in a bad mood as a result. gosh! EXCITED--sophia is starting to dislike her bouncy seat too. She tries to sit up or roll out of it. I can't believe they are four months old! Things seem to get better as she gets older. She has the biggest smile, and loves to be around people. She gets bored at our house. SHe loves to get in the baby bjorn and go shopping. She is a people watcher for sure! And she hands out smiles to anyone who wants one:)

Pebbles- Yeah I think my friend's meds are mostly for depression and anxiety. EXCITED- That's so funny that she sits up like that! I have the same bouncey seat but she doesn't do that yet, then again she just turned 3 months so we'll see what she does in a month or so haha. Keira looks like she's gotten so big! Do you know how much she weighs now? I DEFINITELY this Josephine is teething. She is constantly trying to put her fists in her mouth and chew on her sleeves and just anything and she drools like a maniac! Sometimes it will just fall out of her mouth like a freakin' faucet! haha Today was tough though, she cried soooo much and REALLY hard. We think it's because of the teething but it's weird. Shouldn't teething hurt them ALL the time or is it normal to have fussy periods because of it but not be that way all the time?

jendean00 - October 2

Impatient, Brooke fusses in periods too. Mainly when she is not being stimulated with something, she fusses because she realizes, Hey my mouth hurts so she is fussy.

excited2bemama - October 2

IMPATient- I think she weighs about 15-16 lbs. We will see thurs we she goes for her 4 month check-up and shots.. (:o( She is a big girl- and already wearing size 3 diapers b/c her thighs are so fat! Keira is teething too- she has been since 2.5 months but she has been really fussy and whiny and unable to really play this week. She just wants me to hold her and to nurse all day- SO WEARING ME OUT!! not sleeping well either. But not screaming in pain- just whiny- She is going to be such a grouch on thurs when she gets her shots.

Hey all. I have been wondering if Jenna is teething... drooling.. but she is not really fussy. I tell you what helped my son!! Teething tablets...they are homeopathic tabs and melt in their mouth. Work wonders!!!! Check them out! ALSO.. when they are older only!!! Get BIG carrots.. clean them and put in the fridge... let them suck and chew on them... it helped soo much. AGAIN.. only when they are older!!! it really helped! Memphis.. my son has been very delayed in speech.. When he was 22 months old his speech was at a 11 month level.. and behavior was at a 13 month level, everything else was at a 26 month level. He has had behavior issues since a year and a half.. hitting, pushing, yelling.. Some say.. he is just a boy... they are more aggressive.. but there is this frustration .. and he wil say.. Mom.. I want to be nice. He will cry because he knows.. but it is like he can't control it.. He is soooooo smart!! Speech therapist says he is at a kindergardner level or higher in knowledge.. and he understands right from wrong.... lacks the "stop b___ton" as I call it. Not al the time... but when he has a day... it is not good!! Glad this specialist is looking at all of the other specialists notes and taking everything into consideration. Just learning all I can about it. Speaking of...need to go and finish one of my books. Hope all your lo's sleep good tonight.. and don't give you too many probs. Jenna has a doctors appt on Tuesday for her shots etc. YUCK!!! I hate those! Can't wait to see how much she weighs though!

ImpatientMommy - October 2

EXCITED- wow! 15-16 pounds, what a good girl! I weighed myself, then weighed myself holding the baby and according to that she wears 13.5 pounds right now. Just turned 3 months so she's doing pretty good too! but I think she's really tall because she really isn't that chunky, she's pretty lean. Josephine just went into size 2 diapers liiiike 2 weeks ago and I think she's ready for 3! haha or atleast 2-3. Because they just seem small now! can't explain it, but it's weird that that size went so fast. and I have a TON of size 2 diapers, I'm gonna give them to my best friend who is also pregnant right now! yay! =) I can't believe everyone's little ones are already 4 months and Josephine is just turning 3, didn't realize I was so far behind!

jendean00 - October 3

Excited, Brooke as her appointment for her shots Thursday too. We went last week but she had a virus so he would not give them to her until she was better. I am dreading it to, because she is already more fussy and clingy than usual because of teething so I am hoping its not like the 2 month shots. At least she has some meat on her legs this time.

ImpatientMommy - October 3

I can't believe this! We just put Josephine in size 2 diapers like 2 1/2 weeks ago and I think she's ready for size 3 haha. This is probably going to be too much information but is increased discharge when I wipe a sign my period could be coming soon? I'm 14 weeks post partum and still haven't gotten it! I can't believe that I'm actually WANTING my period. I know I'm not pregnant because we haven't had s_x (since like the middle of my pregnancy!) because now we wanna wait till I'm on birth control and I can't start it until I get my period. I'm pretty sure everyone else has gotten it right?

aliciavr6 - October 3

Impatient - WOW avelyn is 4 months now and she's still wearing the 1-2 inbetween size. (I actually just got her size 2 about a week ago, they fit awesome)...
