hey girls. a friend of mine recently introduced me to the program malalueca. i havent started yet but am seriously considering it. i was involved in a phone conference last night. its kinda like selling mary kay or something, but instead of selling the product, you sell the brand, than when your customers buy any product from the brand, you get a commission. it sells everything from make up, to vitamins and cleaning supplies, weight loss formulas, and even childrens soap, vitamins, and other hygiene things. and if your a seller, you dont have to host parties or anything , and you are your own buisness, a big kick for taxes! if any one is interested in either buying anything or actually getting involved, email me at lelliott17 at yahoo. i'll be happy to either answer questions or refer you to someone who can. my friend who's trying to get me in it works part time and makes about 6-700 a month..some make over 5000 . i plan on starting next month, but right now am mostly getting things together and learning everything i can

Sounds like Amway. My brother in law had moderate success with that in the 90s, but you really have to love selling. If you decide to get into it, I would read all you can on marketing and sales. My brother in law is a commercial real estate broker, so he is very good at selling.

im actually about to go back to school for real estate..lol..this is just something i would do part time, so that i wasnt at work and school all day, while ds was at day care or with my parents, than with dh at night...the only reason im considering it is because my friend would be my supervisor or mentor or whatever, and she works full time, is pregnant, and does this on the side

It depends on what you are in to. Meleleuca is another MLM, same as Amway, Arbonne, etc. it's just nto my thing. Yes you can make money from it, but it takes a lot of pushing and signing people up. The majority of people lose a lot of money and time in these sorts of things. They build up your psyche with how easy it is to do this and get rich and for most people that doesn't happen. I'm not saying that you can't get into it and make money. Some of the wealthiest people are because of MLMs. But for me, I don't want to be a part of something that can build up someones hopes, take their time and money, and then watch them fail at it. I am NOT a fan of these things at all,a s you can tell. But if you decide to go with it, don't just buy into the hype at the meetings. Keep your head about you and hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones who do well. :)

DON'T DO IT!! I was once part of the Melaleuca PYRAMID SCHEME!! What a waste of time and money!!... although, their products were good... lol

its a pyramid scheme? i specifically asked if it was one and was told no...hmmm...

it definately is... they say "it's nothing like amway" but it is... The guys that got me into it worked with me at Red Lobster for a few months and once they got 6 people to join them, they quit and started working at a different restaurant to recruit more people.. which i think is pretty messed up.. i just didn't have the heart to do that kind of thing.

basically, it's like "hey join me... make ME more successful and MAYBE people will join you BUT those people YOU get are still making ME more money than you.."

I also want to advise you not to do it. It works like Amway or Cutco knives( a friend of mine lost tonnes of money and time on that). I also know people who've lost a lot of money to Amway. They make it sound good, but it's just the people way high up the pyramid that make "your" money!!! Please reconsider!!!

These ladies are right. My SIL tried to break into this, but lost money. Now she just buys some of their products because she likes them, but that's about it.

wow after reading everything your saying, it doesnt seem like a good idea

Mosley, TECHNICALLY it is not a pyramid scheme, those are illegal. But it is about as close as you can get to one. It is a MLM (multi-level marketing). Do a google search for MLM's and Pyramid Schemes to understand what they are. It IS possible to make a lot of money with these programs, but you do so by building on the hopes of others nad getting them to build you up (as someone said above me). The odds of THEM making it are very slim. I don't like them because essentially it is like screwing other people over. Of course theoretically they will tell you that everyone makes money and everyone wins, but realistically, that doesn't happen. My mother is suckered into one of these right now (Arbonne), and while the product is good, I hate what it is doing to her. All her hopes and dreams are on this, she has been doing it for 2 years and has spent far, FAR more than she has brought in. I wish they would make any type of MLM illegal.

Yeah I just got bombarded with a woman trying to get me to buy Arbonne, I barely know her and she was about as close to hara__sment as humanly possible w/ out being hara__sment. I barely know her and she asked if I would try the stuff (which I didn't, my face was breaking out). Talk about pushy, she called my house at 7:15 one morning, I mean c'mon don't call that early. Needless to say I am not getting involved.

I wish my mom would finally get it through her head. But it's so hard to tell her how I feel without hurting her feelings. :( Arbonne stuff is actually very nice, but just way over priced IMO. If I wanted to spend that much on make up and spend care, why not just go to a Macy's counter. :P Their baby stuff I actually use, but that's about it.
