4 months MOST KIDS CAN DO • Smiles, laughs • Can bear weight on legs • Coos when you talk to him HALF KIDS CAN DO • Can grasp a toy • Rolls over, from tummy to back • ADVANCED A FEW KIDS CAN DO Imitates sounds: "baba," "dada" • Cuts first tooth • May be ready for solid foods this chart is at baby center.com Ive always used this chart...hope it helps!

My girls were able to do all the most kids and half kids can do......Excpet Marcy who is now 7mos didnt' roll but a few times.....Mary (now two and a half) was ready for solids or at least cereal, Marcy was not. Neither cut teeth or really made any other sound other than cooing.....

Mine would smile, laugh, play with toys hanging over them. My younger two would roll all around then (my oldest didn't roll until about 5 months). They liked to "stand" on my lap. All had first taste of rice cereal... older went with it, youngest rejected it. That's all I can think of right now.

My dd was sitting supported, smiling and grasping at toys. I started her on rice and veggies and she started teething. No teeth but drooling and chewing. She did not (and still isn't) roling over, She hates tummy time. But she is now 5months and she'll be walking before she rolls over LOL. She also is cutting two top teeth now.

well as of today my dd has rolled front to back, plays with toys hanging over her head and her fabric books, tries to stand when you hold her in your lap, makes all manner of noises no mama or dada yet but i'll keep trying :o) and will have her first taste of baby rice within the next couple of days. She's also started teething.

She sounds like she's doing perfectly, vonzo!
