Mom S Of Boys

Dylan (my second baby boy) somehow, someway has managed to soak an outfit every 2 hours. It has nothing to do with his diaper not being changed, because half the time his diaper is barely wet. He is getting the back of his clothes, right above his waist wet. I can't figure it out. I point his "boyhood" down with each changing and can't for the life of me figure out how he manages to do this. My 2 yr old used to do the same thing. Any thoughts???

My ds does the same darn thing. I will change his diaper and then it seems the very next time he goes potty his back or side get wet. This is not all of the time though. It is very frustrating. I use pampers swaddlers. So i cant for the life of me figure this out myself

my son would do this also...after pointing my son's "boyhood" down, i seal the right side of the diaper but before sealing the left side, i again make sure it is pointing down b/c sometimes, somehow it moves. that's the only thing i can think of...my son hasn't wet any clothes for a few months (except sometimes when he wakes in the morning).

My other son did this same thing too. If memory serves me correct, he stopped around 6 months. Man, there's a lot of laundry between now and then. The other thing that's a pain is when he soaks his outfit while in his swing, jumperoo, bouncy seat, or exersaucer I have to pull off the fabric and wash that too. Big fat pain in the b___t. Good thing my little guy is so charming to make up for it. ;o)

Just like erin said, I think it points back up when you go to seal the other side. He used to do this at the beginning, and then I got wise to him. He hasn't done it for months now. Also, he never soaks through at night - we use Huggies at night and pampers during the day. I like the pampers because they seem softer, but the huggies definitely hold more!

once i just got ready and was feeding my son before we put him in his car seat. it was our "date night" and i was taking him to the inlaws so they could watch him. it was when i was still bf so i wanted to make sure he got enough so i wouldn't leak on our date... well i might not have leaked, but he got my shirt soaked. his diaper wasn't wet at all but his onsie was soaked and it got all over my new shirt. the front of his diaper kinda slid don't so i'm guessing he just went over the top of it. just goes to show, you become a mama and clean clothes, make up, and showers are a thing of the past.

cason did that until he was about 1 1/2 months. He is now three months and hasnt done it since! I was wondering if maybe his diapers were just too big for him and it leaked out, but im not sure.

Erin,my son was 7 months YESTERDAY!! : ) Tiffani,I think the ladies have given you great info,I also check his "boyhood" before I seal the other side of the diaper. Also,Jesse used to leak with huggies,so now I use pampers cruisers,I like them so much better than the baby dry, those hardly have any stretch!!!

My son did the same thing!! I have decided he just doesn't like to do anything lightly! I really think he pushes as hard as he can to get the pee out. One time, he peed while changing him, my husband had bent down to put the dirty diaper in the garbage, and the pee shot out and hit him straight in the forehead. He was a good distance away. I swear the pee was traveling at aobout MOCK 5! Anyway, i had to resort to doing a load of laundry every day until he got a little bigger and seemed to out grow it.

I just got to tell you that I was changing my son's diaper and the poor thing peed straight up in the air and all over his own face. He was scared to death and couldn't figure out what the heck was happening. It was the saddest and funniest thing I've ever seen. Then he looked at me like I did it!!

I have a girl, but he could be out growing the diapers, I've learned that the weights on the packages are NOT correct. Just a suggestion.

KrisD - March 12

I agree Sarahsmommy. Mine s in size 4. And is no where near the "22 pounds" that they are recommended for!
