My dd is nealy 4 months old and i would like another baby, hubbys still not too sure as he already has a son from a previous relationship but will think about it again in 2-3 years. I was wondering if your babies all had roughly the same birth weight or if there was quite a bit of a difference between them. The reason i ask is because i had a wee bit of a rough time trying to push out my dd. She was only 7lbs 3oz but was posterior so took quite a while to get her head to stay where it was supposed to when pushing and it hurt like h__l coming out!!! I'm terrified this will happen again and if it's a bigger baby don't think i could cope. My family is prone to not knowing they're in labour untill it's too late for any pain relief...eep!!

Well, mine got bigger each time....38 wks-6 lbs 1oz. , 35.5 wks-6lbs 13 oz. , 38 wks-7 lbs 2oz , 37 wks-7 lbs 6 oz, 38 wks-8 lbs 2 oz, 37.5 wks-8 lbs 6 oz. I have an sil who has 7 kids and her weights didn't increase each time, they fluctuated one to another....her last only weighed 6 lbs 2 oz.

My first was born 6 weeks early and was 4 pounds 7 ounces. He came so fast I didn't have time for pain relief as well. My next came 3 weeks early and was 5 pounds 10 ounces and she came even faster haha. All pregnancies are different so your next baby could be completely different. I'm the only one in my family who has had really short and fast labors (and having preemies) so I don't know what the deal is. If I were you, I would probably wait a few months and let your body get back to normal. I would only think that the only way people have big babies is because they don't watch what they eat and the baby just grows and grows, that wasn't the case with me, I just went into labor sooner but just gain the recommended amount and don't worry, your next baby could be different. Good luck.

thats just my opinion though with the eating thing. I know people have big babies but I've watched bunches of parenting shows and watch ladies stuff their face with food and wonder why they're baby was huge. I didn't mean for it to come out that way though.

HANNAHs Mom - January 17

My first dd was born at 42 weeks weighing 6lbs 6oz -- Hannah, my 2nd dd, was born at 39 weeks weighing 8lbs 1oz. I have heard that subsequent pregnancies do get larger and larger, but also sometimes easier...

my daughter nicholette was born at 40 weeks 3 days and she was 9lbs 9oz 21 inches my daughter Christiana was born 38 weeks and she was 7lbs 6.4oz 19 inches long

Mine were both 7lbs 3oz! The doctors got a kick out of it. Posterior babies are harder to deliver and hurt more, so chances are you'll do better next time with labor.

BriannasMummy - January 17

In my case my first little girl was a lot bigger then my next. Brianna was born at 42 weeks weighing 9lbs 1.5oz, she was 21.5 inches long. Ka__sidy was born at 39 weeks 1 day weighing 6lbs 4oz and 19 inhces long. Hopefully thats helfpul info. ~Kristin~
