My 5 month old has always been kind of a bad sleeper but now she is even worse, 1/2 hour after we put her down to bed she is up and won't go back to sleep until after midnight. My husband and myself are so tired and don't know what to do anymore, we have been bringing her to our bed because we just can't stand the lack of sleep anymore does anyone have any suggestions I'm willing to try almost anything at this point!

Put her on a schedule! I worked like magic for me. We just basically do the same things around the same time everyday. I started it around 3 months and it has made a huge difference.

I 100% agree with Ca__s! Routine works best! Find one that works for your family and stick to it. Bath at same time every night followed by night feeding/bed. Try to stick to the same time schedule every night. This is something we started right away (even though newborns have their own agenda:-), but here we are a little over 3 months and it's the same thing every night. She does wake up for a diaper change/feeding once a night, but she's still little, so I expect that. What does she do when she gets up? Does she want to eat or just play? For our routine, when it comes to bed time, we go up to the bedroom. We keep the lights and sounds low (lights are very dim so she knows it's bedtime). I hope it works for you...and soon. Good luck

I've tried to do the same thing every night and about 1/2 hour later she is up. This only started about a week ago she used to only be up twice to eat and sometimes have her soother put back in her mouth. I don't know what to do once she wakes up, she isn't hungry I think she just wants to play.
