I am having a hard time with my 5 weeks old..He seems to think that he needs his pacifier ALL the time, and I know he's still young and don't know the difference..But the thing is when I try to put him down for the night, I do give him his pacifier and all he does is knock it out of his mouth and I have to keep putting it back in and I am up about 3 hours doing that until he finally falls asleep..It's really annoying and I have tried everything music, his projection screen, his mobile to take his mind off it..But I am going crazy here and I'm not sleeping at night because of that..I need to do something and I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has or has had the same problem as me, and any advice for me thanks!!

I know it can be frustrating but it will pa__s. Eventually he will learn to shove it in his mouth by himself. I was going through a similar situation with my 2nd baby who is 11 days old. I ended up giving her more formula. It seems to work. She doesn't seem to need her pacifier nearly as much. I think the reason her pacifier would fall out of her mouth is because she truly didn't want it and that was her way of saying, 'hey mom, I want more food, not this silicone plug'!!! Maybe try more formula or b___stmilk (whichever you are doing). It is worth a try! Good luck.
