To be on the safe side I would take him to the ped. to be checked out. It does sound like colic (which my daughter had for 10 LONG weeks) but now not wanting to latch/eat something may really be bothering him like an ear infection or something that you can't see.

I know 4 weeks can be a little early for teething but I have heard it is possible. It takes quite a while for those teeth to show up but the process is painful. I think if the dr says its ok you can give tylenol in case that is the problem or he has a headache like SonyaM said. Just know that cuddling your baby is really comforting to him. My dd had colic and once I cut out dairy from my diet she was MUCH better, but it doesn't sound like that is a problem for you. Good luck and hang in there, it gets better, I promise!

Thanks to all of you:) I talked with my lactation nurse and she thinks Im trying to feed him to much but I dont believe that. My MIL is a pediatrician I may take him over there tonight. He finally ate and fell asleep so Im good for awhile:) Thanks for all your help I will keep you updated.

I had the same problem with my daughter and we got a noise machine for her ba__sinet. It sounds like the womb, or there is a setting for ocean waves that she liked too. We would swaddle her, I would rock her for 5-10 mins to calm her down, then we woudl give her the paci and put her in the ba__sinet with the noise machine on. It worked like a charm. We didn't discover this unitil almost 8 weeks!!! Wish someone would have told me sooner!!!
