My dd is one, and her ped INSISTED she be taken off of it, but we are just not ready. She only gets one bottle a day, and that is before bedtime. She takes whole milk out of it ( 6-8 oz) but as long as she "needs" it, I am fine with it ( At least til she is older!! :)

I think the main concern about bottles at night is tooth decay. They generally recommend that if baby has to have a bottle to go to sleep that you put water in it. Of course, alot of babies don't like plain water, so......

sadly admiting that my 17 month still get a bottle or 2 before bed. Lately she wants 2 full ones. But we brush her teeth before bed. she doesnt have a paci and I think it just relaxes her. Plus she doesnt drink more than a few sips here and there from her sippy during the day..

My 14 month old is still doing a bottle before bed and one before the afternoon nap. This is the ONLY way the kid will drink whole milk. He is totally fine with both a sippy cup and a straw cup the rest of the day, but once I put milk in the cup, he takes one sip and turns up his nose and won't touch it again. But he will drink whole milk in a bottle in his room on my lap in the rocking chair. I am worried about creating a bad habit here too, but not sure how to break it now.
