No Pooh

Emma hasn't had her usual mudslide since Thursday night. She was going every other day like clockwork and now nothing! Sorry if TMI but I'm starting to worry. She's very gassy (smelly too). Her tummy doesn't seem hard or anything and she's eating like normal. I started giving her small samples of rice cereal but it's very diluted in br___tmilk so I don't think that could bother her. She has her 4 month checkup tomorrow so I'll have to see what's going on. Last night I put her in her crib and she fell asleep and she woke up crying a little which is normal and she'll fall right back asleep but she didn't this time and it was a different cry. Like a painful cry. I picked her up and she was practically climbing up me. Her little legs were just kicking away. She's 4 months old now. Poor girl!

Good luck at the docs I'm sure it will be fine I went through the same thing I started giving my girl alittle prune juice diluted and it helped her get back on track I found the rice cereal was a little hard on her but now she's 10 months and if we have trouble she has a bran muffin she loves them.

It is normal for b___stfed babies not to go poop. They actually can go up to a couple weeks without pooping-but lookout when they do! I wouldn't worry. At my daughter's last appointment (her 4 month one) she is four and a half months now-she hadn't gone in 12 days. Her ped said that he wasn't worried, as long as it was normal when she did go (not hard like deer poop or little pebbles). If Emma is b___stfed I really wouldn't worry. Kailey still goes up to a week and a half between poops and is very ga__sy before she goes as well (sometimes a couple days before the gas really starts coming out).

That's what Emma is doing right now. Very very ga__sy. Starting to get fussy too. When she does pooh, it's like liquid and never hard.

If she's farting, she's probably fine. If you're really concerned, put a little vaseline on your finger and very very very lightly touch her a__s. The tiny bit of pressure should trigger a bm

If she's really ga__sy that causes alot of pain try some gripe water.

Oh god, sounds like a job for DH. Ha ha! My daycare mom told me her sister's kid didn't pooh for days and her doctor told her to lube up up a rectal thermometer and insert it and move it around a bit and she was able to pooh after that! I'll wait to see what her doc says tomorrow if she didn't have a bm at daycare today.
