i know i wrote a bit in my last topic (help! back to work... or something like that) about my dilemma about going back to work. im having the hardest time figuring this all out. im just wondering how many of you have tried any sort of work from home businesses, and if any of you have, how you got the word out about your business. im starting up with this company called herbalife, and i was shocked that i could take the weight loss suppliment because im nursing, but it was a good shock. i am just now facing the problem of advertising since i dont know anyone where i am. i just moved to oregon from california back in august, so i havent met anyone, really, since all i did was work and stay at home, and now im home for good (well, for now) do any of you have any suggestions?

I started my own photography business when my frist baby was born. www.photosbyjes.com A good free way to get the word out about your business is to donate something to a silent auction. I have donated photo packages to charity events for cub scouts, churches, women's shelters, etc. People then bid on whatever you donate and the money goes to the charity. However, when they come in to redeem what they have won in the auction, they usually spend much more than the value of what you donated, so the rest of the $$ is yours. Then if they are happy with your services, they will tell their friends and they themselves also become a repeat client.
