I just want to apologize in advance for sharing too much information, but I need som advice. Ok, the past couple of days, I have been having an upset stomach. I'm talking REALLY upset, like going every 20 minutes or so. Today, it's been pouring out of me like a fountain! I can't believe I even have that much poop inside of me! :-S So, my question is, what kind of medicines would you suggest that are ok to use while br___tfeeding??? My butt has been on fire and I can't take these Hershey squirts anymore! Please help!!

i am not sure of any medicine you can take (call the doctor), but try the BRAT diet and stick to it strictly. It is Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and toast. That will help stop you up! Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Tami! I will try! I couldn't call my doc today b/c it's closed, which is why I asked on here. I've been trying to drink lots of water, so I don't get dehydrated. Hopefully, my b___t will stop leaking for a little while, so I can get some relief!

Any pharmacy should be able to tell you what anti-diarrheal meds you can take while bf. I usually call the pharmacy because they can usually tell you right away whereas the dr. office says they'll call back.

I would say like pepto or something. And to help your bottom get the moist wipes. They should have it in the TP section. It is kind of like the kids Kandoo stuff, which those work great too.

I copied this straight from Kellymom.com and it is all safe to take while b___stfeeding. You may want to try to drink some pedilyte or something, since it also has electrolites in it. Hope you feel better very soon. Imodium, Pepto Diarrhea Control, Maalox Antidiarrheal Caplets, Kaopectate II Caplets, Immodium Advanced Note: Pepto-Bismol & Kaopectate (bismuth subsalicylate is the active ingredient in both) are not recommended for routine use by nursing moms, due to the a__sociation of salicylates with Reyes syndrome in children.

Ok, thanks everyone for the advice. So far, I've only gone 3 times today, which a great compared to yesterday and the day before. I think it's finally pa__sing through! If I never EVER have diarrhea agin as long as I live, I will die happy! :-)
