Where in England are you? We will be moving there the beginning of next year...

I live on the south coast. Poole, it's about 5 miles from Bournemouth which is a much bigger town. The county is Dorset. Where are you moving to?

We are going to Mildenhall... This will be our second overseas a__signment (we are currently in Japan).

Jas, you are going to a nice part of england. Your going to East Anglia, I've never been to Mildehall, but I've been to Bury and Colchester which are about 30 miles away. How long are you coming over here for?

Three years! My 11 year old already has a friend there. His dad is military and they got divorced while stationed there. His mother fell in love with England and is staying there - meanwhile his dad got stationed here. The boy visits his dad here in the summer and goes back to England with his mother for the rest of the year. My son has been playing with this boy for 2 summers now and is really excited to know someone before we get there. I am pretty excited as well... Not too sure about moving (i hate moving) especially with my other son who will be 9 months by the time we move. We spent the last 4 years here in Asia, we thought we would see the Atlantic side before being sent back to the States. Not like we have a home there either. But we were lucky enough for him to get orders there!

Well I bet your looking forward to our British weather. It's the middle of July and it is raining here today, we are due some sun later in the week but temps will only reach 23 which is cla__sed as a heat wave over here. everyone went mad last week when it reached 28 LOL.

28? Wow!!! We have been all over the south in the states (South Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas) and now here. The a__signment here (Japan) one of the first a__signments we have seen snow. We have two siberian huskies that have been snow deprived for so long, I am not sure they know what it is. We are just in the middle of the rainy season here and might get a little sun. It's been well over 32 here most days, but the hottest month is August. My dh's cousin is in the militatry too - he was stationed at Mildenhall several years ago. He came back to the States with a wife. Two little girls later, they are wanting to go back. I have heard nothing but great things about where we are going and England itself, although I am not a big fan of moving and am itching to have my own place to establish some kind of roots for my boys, I am looking forward to going there.
