Ok, I have to talk about Christmas shopping bc mine have been put on hold. Here in NYC a transit strike has been put into place and It is going to be almost impossible to shop without the transit system working. I am so p___sed bc we were using the rest of my dh's bonus to shop and he just got his bonus yesterday. This city is going to be extremely chaotic today. I have not really been on the forum for the last couple of days bc I was trying to get as much done as possible but now..... So, I am here upset. Worried about my dh getting to work and how in the h__l we are going to finish shopping. GRRRRRR!!!

I meant *doing* the rest of our shopping with my dh's bonus. I am typing with limited amount of sleep, sorry.

TC - December 20

Oh by the way, how are you guys christmas shopping going?!!!

Jbear - December 20

I'm done with mine...everyone has presents except me. My mother wanted the strangest stuff: a half-pint of bacardi, foot scrub and that lotion you put on in the shower...I got it all, but considering how little it cost and how much my mom makes, why has she been waiting until christmas for it?

Hi, all. My sis, dh, an I bought my mom a Coach purse and my dad a digital camera. My sis, dh, and I are not exchanging gifts, but I am donating to charity on my sister's behalf. Not sure about the mil or fil yet. Luckily, that is really it for us, since dh does not exchane gifts with aunts, uncles and cousins. My extended family lives in Europe, so same thing for them and me. Oh, I was going to buy my manicurist a resaurant gft certificate. Beter get that done asap. Ben is too young to appreciate Christmas, but I did bu him an Ocean Wonders Aquarium for his crib. I also want to buy a mobile for the changing table since he still finds diaper changing to be quite the ordeal. TC- that sucks about the transit strike. So all public transportation is doing this- buses, subways, etc? C___ppy.

I heard that, that must be awful about the transit strikes! I finished my shopping, but am having trouble finding time to wrap with my little demanding chunkeroo!

Shelly - December 20

Christy, get that mobile for on the changing table,...Jesse LOVES diaper change b/c of it.Sometimes I can't hardly get himoff the changing table..LOL!!!

Christy - December 20

Monica- Ben is six weeks old. :) Shelly- which mobile do you have? There is one by Tiny Love that I like, but it was sold out on BabyCenter (and I had coupons too!)

Amayas Mommy AKA Stephanie - December 20

I am thinking I am done. We are still waiting on "our" present to show up, we got a digital camcorder for each other but other than that everyons gifts have gotten here and I only have like 3 left to wrap. We havent really gotten amaya much but since she is only 7 months rwe got her some clothes and then some peekaboo blocks. Everyone else got Amaya lots of toys and whatever. We went in with my brother and sis in law and got my dad a camcoder, we got my mom a surround sound, his dad surround sound for his office, my nephew the Animusic Set of both DVDS and everyone else just got little stuff.

monica - December 20

Christy I just wanted to know just to warn you after 3 months you will probably not use your changing table anymore. my baby got to big and long and wild so I have to do it on the floor or my bed. But you still have time.....

Tami - December 20

Oh, we are done with Christmas shopping-or so we say! Every time we go out we end up getting Kailey something else! Yesterday I thought we were done until we went to Target and saw the cutest little dress, then we HAD to get it. Well, I don't have presents yet I guess, but DH says he is going today-if he ever gets out of bed lol. He is out of school right now so he thinks he doesnt' have to wake up in the mornings. I guess he has a right to be lazy since he works two jobs and goes to school full time. I got him a new cell phone and clothes. Nice and boring I guess.

T. - December 20

Lol Tami! We're "done" too, but everytime we go out, we end up getting something for someone else. I got my Christmas presnt early this year (in November). My hubby bought us new furniture for the living room! Yay! Our other stuff is the first set we got that was cheap and creaked everytime was sat down. We bought that before we got married a year and a half ago and it's true what they say, "You get what you pay for!" Lol!

TC - December 20

Thats funny T, that is how we were last year, bf my son came. Now, we are very frugal and focused. Yeah, this strike is really bad. My dh had to walk across a mile and half bridge and then walk 50+ blocks to work. We still don't have any idea how he is getting home. He was actually considering staying at work. :(

TC - December 20

You know Jbear I do the same thing that your mom did. When someone asks me what I want for Christmas, it is usually something minute that is not very expensive. I am not picky at all and I do not like Christmas. Next year I am going to put up a tree and try to get into the Christmas spirit so that my son won't hate me for the rest of his life.LOL I don't want him to think about Christmas and think how much his mother didn't like it.

I bought the frames for the photos today only to get home and realise i got them in portrate rather than landscape, so I just puit other photos in and wrapped them up for me from the kids! I thought it was a good idea anyways lol. So I still have my 2 brothers to buy for and my grandma. I will still get grandma that photo in a frame, but next time I will take notice and get the right one. I only have £100 left so I need to be carefull. Did the food shopping today and spent over £100 in asda. Also got Johns present :-) I can't put what I have got him incase he does peek at this forum when I'm not in :-P

xXx-Lesley-xXx - December 20

Ohhhh I also got Ben a snowman suit. I wanted a christmas pudding but couldn't afford to spend £12 on one outfit he would only wear once, but I started feeling guilty cos it's his first christmas. Went into Adams today and they had 1 left but only the snowman. What luck it was 3-6 months too! And at £6.50 :-) I'm a happy mummy :-D
