what about making up a flyer to tell about the sale to poast in the store and to put in the customers bags after they have purchased something. What about a stamp purchase card. If a person spends $20.00 they get a stamp. On the card needs to be several stamps. After they are all used up then they recieve a free $20.00 towards something in the store. I have one and you have to buy $400.00 dollars woth upfront first before a set date on the front of the card. This way the customers keep coming back repeat business. Hope this makes sence

What about having a special "show off your baby" monthly promotion. People can e-mail you photos of their babies wearing items that were purchased in your store...like the adorable Paidrag slippers that I absolutely LOVE. You could post them on a special section of your web page. Staff could select the top 3 candidates to win a discount or a free grab bag. Costomers could vote on their choice when they come in the door. This would show off your product and allow mom's to show off their pride and joy.

We have a baby store in my community that talked with the hospital nursing staff that put on the expectant parents and b___st feeding cla__ses. By educating the staff about her products, the staff was better able to tell us where we could go to find products like b___st shields, nipple shields, quality nursing bras, pump supplies, etc. At our store, they even caters to dad's. A wife can send a husband down to the store while she is in the hospital with the new little one for things like nursing bras. They send up a couple and he returns the one that does not fit. Being flexible. Which brings me to another possible campaign....who is the biggest sucker when it comes to babies? DAD's-TO-BE You should think of a commercial that encourages dads to come in and buy their soon to be little ones something special. My husband was so excited that he would have spent a fortune in the baby store on a surprise gift for the mom and baby to be. Daddy's are like that...you just have to find a way to market to them (which I think would be easy...since they seem to be easy to manipulate - shame on me for saying that).

I really need to start proof reading!

Okay, I am going a bit crazy with all the brainstorming... One last idea for the night. My husband absolutely can not resist anything that says "Daddy's little girl" or I love my daddy. Do you have a special section just for dads where all of these items are located?

I shopped at a boutique that gave me a free baby gift when I purchased something over $50 during each trimester. After my son was born, I joined their birthday club. I shop there every month and on his birthday he gets a free outfit. It isn't much, but the clothes are a little expensive so it does offer me incentive to shop there over another place. They also have wish list board in the back by the bathroom. They don't sell anything used, but they offer a place to hang up little ads for mothers selling some of their larger things like changing tables, ect.. and for mothers looking to buy things.
