Last week we lost a man from our church who was so special to us. He was like a grandpa to dh and I and like a g-grandpa to my kids. He would come visit every other Sat. night, in fact! He died suddenly and unexpectedly. he was just at my dd's b-day party on Jan. 21st!! Anyway, his funeral was today. I couldn't go because of Nathan's school, but dh went and it turns out that hia family was going through his stuff and found some children's DVDs that he had out to bring to my kids. As my dh said, "He's still giving even after he died." Just wanted to share with my friends on here!

Aw, how sad to hear. May he RIP. I can understand how you feel about someone like that. I love my neighbbor - she's 80, her husband died last year and all her family is in FL (oddly enough - very close to mine!), so we have adopted each other!
