Pasty Gray Poop

Mason has had odd looking bm's the past 3-4 days. They are pasty looking and gray in color and making his poor little bottom as raw as can be. He's not had any new foods, no meds, no shots...nothing at all is different as far as I can figure. I have thoroughly interrogated dh and the kids to make sure none of them have given him anything. There are no other symptoms and he's not fussy except when we change the diaper (because of the raw bottom). I'm treating the rash and it's looking better, but I'm at a loss as to what the deal is with the strange poo.

Don't ask me how I know this because I don't remember where I heard it, but white poo is a sign of something going on with your liver. I don't know about grey. Bile adds an orange yellow color to the poo and something else adds a green color which makes poo brown. If one is missing or the other is needed more to digest a certain componant of your meal, you will have either orangey- yellow poo or green colored poo. If both are mot present, it will be white in color. I'd call your doctor just to make sure.
