Play Time

I'm just curious what you all do for play time with your babies? My daughter is two months old and she loves her Peekaboo Elmo activity gym (laying down while watching the flashing lights and music overhead) and sitting in her bouncer but she doesn't like that as well. I also put wrist and foot rattles on her. What else should I be doing for stimulation? Thanks..:)

At two months the activity gym is probably the perfect stimulation for her. My boy had a play gym, and we lay him there from birth, and it was fun to see how he developed by first focusing on the toys, then reaching for them to hit, then grabbing them, then shaking them, then trying to eat them!!! One of the best things you can do is hold your baby fairly close to your face and pull faces at her - she will love the familiarity of your face and will react to the faces you pull!

Hi, I have a 3 1/2 month old baby and was wondering what type of stimulation other mom's are giving their 3-4 month olds?

Also lot's of TUMMY TIME. When the baby is awake ans supervised of course, put them on their tummy so they learn to develop their neck muscles. DANI with my 15 week old daughter I lay toys out that are small enough for her to grab (rattles, etc). Mirrors are also great. I bought a Baby Einstein teddy bear with a big round mirror on the belly...she loves that. My daughter also loves for me ti sing for her and make sily faces and we read to her every night as well.

tummy time always works for a little while. Music toys, my dd loved the "johnny jumper"....it hangs from door way and they can jump up and down in it....she adores it!
