My one month old seems constantly hungry! At most feedings she eats a full 6 oz bottle. but other times she only eats 3 oz. is this normal? What should we do to make her feedings the same? Are we doing the right thing feeding her. She acts like she is hungry but i dont know! im worried i am overfeeding her.

as long as she isnt spitting up after feeding because she has had too much she should be fine. i was told your baby will tell you when she is hungry and when she is full and you should listen to the baby. and her growing fast is normal atleast for my dd it was she gains a little over a pound a week hope this helps

it may also be cluster feeding or a growth spurt she may grow out of it and go to a regular amount every 2-4 hours my dd did

My baby does the same thing and he eats a big amount at least once a day-around 8 oz sometimes and he is 2 months. I was told by my ped to let him set the pace and as long as he isn't throwing it all up, its ok. He is growing like a weed and almost off the charts for length, so that is probably the case with your daughter. Growth spurts and cluster feedings are the name of the game for us, I guess :)

she usually eats every 3-4 hours but some nights ( like last nite) she will eat at 10 and sleep until 4! thats why i was worried. i guess she is okay. but she does spit up alot. her ped said it is normal for her to spit up alot. she does it mostly when i move her. thanks for all the help. i was so worried i was doing something wrong!
