When I pump I can only get about 2-3 oz does this mean ds is only getting that much at a time?

No. You usually get less when you pump then your little one gets when he's eattting. Plus it takes you body time to get "used" to pumping.

How long have you been pumping? The lactation specialist told me your child can suck twice as much milk out as the pump will. It is just "natures way" she said!! When I started pumping, I too would only get 2-3 ozs, but once dd and I got to going on a schedule, I could get up to 5 ozs out of each b___st, and I only b/f for 8 weeks. I had "over-active" milk ducts and was leaking milk before I even delivered. (Not colostrom, but milk!)
