My 5 1/2 month old daughter has been br___tfed exclusively up till she was 4 months...I tried to give her rice cereal, and she didn't like it...so i've just been giving her the gerber 1st foods fruits like bananas and applesauce and she loves it. her bowel movements have always been... (sorry if anyone finds this gross)...yellow and thin and pretty odorless, because of br___tfeeding, but even with the fruit it stayed pretty much the same...well shes 5 1/2 months now, and a couple nights this week, i mixed my br___tmilk with some rice cereal again AND fruit all together and she ate it with no problem...well tonight, (sorry again for the grossness)...she had a full diaper that was still yellow, but very thick like a paste..and very smelly.......is this normal for her or is something wrong...this is my first baby and her bowel movements have never ever looked or smelled like this before...is this normal? is it because of the rice cereal?

It's normal...rice cereal thickens things. When you start feeding her other things like carrots, you will start seeing other colors in the diaper, and when she starts eating food that's not pureed, you may even see recognizable things (corn, peas, etc) in there.

You have to think about yourself. When you eat different foods it creates different textures and smells (i know, tmi). Because it's something new to digest, it will make things a little different. Like Jbear said, as you start feeding her different things, you will see different textures, colours and unfortunately, smells!!
