Question About My Bikini Wax

hi, as some of you know, I was wanting to get a bikini wax done. Well, I did it! I didn't get a full brazilian, but I got allot of hair taken away and I am pretty happy with it, but I do have some questions about waxing since this is my first time. Well, my biggest issue is that there seems to be a little bit of stubble in the area that was waxed. Is it normal to have a bit of stubble still? I thought it would be completely smooth. Also, my skin bled a little. Is that just because this is my first waxing? I would think that over time my skin will toughen up to waxing and the bit of blood didn't bother me too much, but I am just wondering if that it the norm. Thanks for the info in advance!

I don't have any advice to give, but just wanted to say....OUCH! lol.

If you had recently shaved, its possible that some of the hairs were not long enough to get caught in the wax. You really need about 1/4 of an inch of hair length to get the best results. As for the bleeding, you probably have larger, deeper follicles. Most brunettes have those types of follicles. If you wax regulary, the hair will bemove finer and softer and may eventually slow down growing or even stop. I have waxed my eyebrows so much that I only have peach fuzz where I used to have regular eye brow hairs. The downside to the eyebrows is that I would actually like to wear them a little thicker now. Its been about a year that I tried to let them grow and they have thicked a little bit, but no where near as thick as they used to be. So just keep that in mind when you do your bikini wax too. Don't do brazillian long term unless you are OK with being bald permanantly one day! :)

lol. Yeah Rabbits, it did hurt a bit but not as bad as I thought it would. Kara H, I am blonde but my hair down there is a bit darker (must be from the German side of my Fam.) My eyebrows are also darker and they do bleed sometimes when I pluck them. I know what you mean about the eyebrow thing! I want to wear mine thicker too and I have been plucking them for so long that I am having trouble growing them back in! I wouldn't mind having less hair down there permanently (I have allot) but I probably wouldn't do Brazilian long term. As for the stubble, I haven't shaved lately because I was growing it out for this occasion, but I think you are right in the fact that some hairs may have been too short because I think some of the shaved hairs may have started growing slower than the rest, so even though the hair looked long, maybe not all of it really was. I was just worried that it was the wax job, although it seemed like the lady really knew what she was doing.
