I have the MobyWrap; it is complicated to put on but skipping that detail, I adore it. You can carry the baby in many different ways. I bought mine at babycenter.com.

I heard that babies love to be carried around in slings, so I bought a Natures Sway sling. Unfortunately ds absolutely hated it, would only tolerate it for brief periods when he was in a good mood. However he loves our front pack. Go figure!

bought this sling for my son....the ETC. Sling from http://www.slingsandmore.com/ i HIGHLY recommend it! my ds LOVES it! it is so comfy. went thru numerous slings and this is my favorite and his. we also have an evenflo snugli. it's ok, but not as comfy as this. you can wear it many different ways too!

I bought a sling from luckybaby.com. No bells and whistles. It's great for the hip carry. I wouldn't buy it again though. I might try to find a sling made with stretch fabric, I think hotslings.com has one. For a newborn, I think a padded sling or an unpadded made with a lot of fabric (Maya Wrap) would be the way to go. I'm going to get one of those with #2. Since #1 is now almost 7 months, I'll stick with what I've got. I done research LOL :) b/c DS hates the Baby Bjorn I was given off my registry. :)
