Question About Vitamins TriVisol

I am br___tfeeding my 4 mo. My ped said that all br___tfed babies require aditional vitamins and told me to give him TriVisol (yeah, that yucky stuff!). But looks like my poor twins are drying out for good, right now I am supplementing with formula once or twice a day but I might need to switch completely to it. Question is... should I continue with the vitamins? Formula has a lof ot stuff added (iron, and so on) so I don´t know of it ´s necessary.

I personally don't believe the vitamins are necessary for b___stfed babies. All through pregnancy, doctors and everyone are all super pro-b___stfeeding, saying b___stmilk is so much healthier, blah blah blah - but the minute you say your baby is actually b___stfed, doctors prescribe these stupid vitamins that, no, formula-fed babies don't get. Either b___stmilk is healthier or it's not. Anyway, the answer is no, you don't need to give your formula-fed baby the vitamins. When my daughter was prescribed them, I asked if she would get them if she was formula fed, and was told no. (At which point I handed back the prescription and went on my little rant.) Sorry for going on my rant here.
