Rash In The Crease Of Her Legs

Poor dd has red, irritated, peely skin on the folds of her thighs in the groin area (these poor areas never see the light of day with her chubby legs). Anyways it is impossible to air this area out and even when i put her in the tub water cant really get in there. I can lay her down for a minute to wipe it and put some desitin in there but it stays in there forever then! What can I do to treat this?

My sister swears by Baby Gold Bond for stuff like that. She said her youngest son had probs and she used that with good results.

Poor little pumpkin! I find that Aquafor works wonders on many skin issues. My dd recently had a bad diaper rash, and Desitin wouldn't touch it. After one day on Aquafor it cleared right up. Hope she is better soon.

it could be a yeast infection. my ds kept getting the same thing in his little fat folds in his groin, and when i used desatin or balmex, it woud go away and come right back, so i finally took him to the dr. and got him put on an antibioticic cream. its worked great

Corn starch works WONDERS on skin thats irritated from too much moisture / dampness. I used to pat some in every crease on my daughter in the summer. I would definitely try that!!

Thanks guys! I always use lotion and powder (and now Desitin with the rash). I guess I was just unclear if it is not good to put something in that area if it never airs out. It looks way too sore though to just let it go. :(
