Anyone have to deal with Roseola Virus yet?? Just an FYI so if your lo gets it you don't freak out- It is terrible and scary at first....very common and really no treatment. My dd (7 mo) had a fever for 2 days followed by a rash all over her torso and now diarrhea for 2 days which has caused terrible diaper rash. Its sooo sad...I haven't dealt w/diaper rash before and it is the worst...any suggestions? Her baby buns are so tender and red. :(

Sorry your little one is sick. Is this Rotovirus? I have never heard of it...sounds rough. As far as the diaper rash, my DD had a diaper rash so bad she had blisters and this got rid of it in a day. Get the original desitin with 40% zinc oxide and a hair dryer, everytime you change your LO b__w their bottom on low for about a min and apply the Desitin...it will be gone in no time

Let her crawl or play without a diaper as often as possible. There is nothing better to heal a diaper rash then fresh air. Sure it can make for a messy blanket, but it will really help and cut the healing time in half.

Hi jendean00- thanks for the tip...I use desitin but the b__w dryer is a great idea. Roseola sounds less severe than Rotovirus from what I read on the internet (askdrsears dot com -GREAT site). The rash w/the Roseola is what scared me....I had no idea if it was a food allergy or detergent or what? I just thought I would give others a heads up. I guess for 50% of children 3mo to 3yrs it is the 1st cause of fever. So its pretty common. Jen327- I have her diaper off as much as possible...it seems to be helping...thanks so much! :)
