sleep pretty good and she used to wake up so happy and playful. NOW??? My ddis 8 months old and has gotten in the habit of waking up 2-3 times a night to eat and wakes up at 7am fussing like crazy. I also used to be able to put her down sleepy and she would get herself to sleep but now she won't go to sleep unless she's rocked or eating. Please tell me that I am not the only one who is going through this?????And what should I do??

you are not the only one. I think that all baies go thorugh stages, they sleep well and then they can start this. I have been lucky that both my girls were good sleepers, but like you, they had Times they didn't sleep as good. Aside form CIO I can't help. I let mine fuss, not cry. I couldn’t' stand to here them cry so as long as they were just fussing, I let them fuss tehmselves to sleep. It only lasted about 15 min and they were asleep. After a night or two they were sleeping better and would go to bed better. I wish you luck!

I am actually going to try and wean her off of night feedings when my dh is out of town next week, it's a lot easier for me to let her fuss for some reason when he's not around.......he always wants to give in.

I agree with Emily. My ds is 6 months and was gng through the exact same thing and a relative told me to let him fuss himself to sleep. Not CIO, but if he's fussing then I should let him. In any case, last night I gave him a bath and bottle as usual. I lay him on his stomach and he fussed for about 20 mins and was fast alseep till 6am. I was so shocked b/c the past few days have been torture and he was co sleeping with me

I need advice so badly on how I should go about getting her to go without the middle of the night feedings. should I subst_tute water or just go cold turkey with her?

I was reading this and it made me think...fuss but not crying. That might work for me! I just can't see my dd cry. Tanaja -- My dd is almost 8 months as well and she's been waking up quite often at night as well! apr -- I really hope my dd acts like your ds and goes to sleep all the way through the night!!

Try more baby food during the day if you can..She might be going through a groth spurt... I hope she gets back on track soon..

More baby food will be tough, as it is I can't get her to eat a whole jar or container of stage 2 babyfood at lunch or dinner. If this is a growth spurt then it has been going on for awhile. Dear gawd my child is going to be HUGE!!! lol
