Sick Baby Not Eating Worried

My 9 month old son has a really bad throat infection with alot of coughing, running nose, no fever though. I took him to Dr. because he had been refusing solids since Sunday & it was totally worrying me because he usually has a huge appet_te. So the Dr. put him on Penicillin & Infant Dymetap on Tuesday, he said his glands were all swollen & infected & he was crying alot in pain. Now it's Friday & I don't see much of an improvement, but he is still nursing & not refusing to br___tfeed at all which is good, but he still does not want ANY solid foods, he starts screaming as soon as I start bringing the spoon to him & if I get any food in his mouth he just coughs like crazy & spits it out. He hasn't eaten any solids for 6 days now .... is it Ok to just keep br___tfeeding, like at 9 months is he getting enough nutrition from just that ? I don't know if I should wait a few more days to see if takes solids & stops coughing, or if I should take him to the Dr. now. He's been on the penicillin for over 3 days now, I'm just worried he's not getting enough nutrition to get better.

As long as he is b___stfeeding, I would not worry to much. When my dd was 15 months she had pneumonia and did not eat one single thing for over two weeks with the exception of b___stmilk and my doctor was not concerned about it. As long as your baby remains hydrated is the important thing. I hope your son feels better soon.

As long as he is bf don't worry. The solids may be hurting his throat. As long as he is wetting enough diapers all is good. I know I dont like to eat when my throat hurts.
