Signing Babies

Just wondering if any of you are trying to sign with your babies. My ds is 9 months and I have been using simple signs for milk, eat, drink, etc. since he was about 6 months. He just learned how to wave bye-bye so hopefully more signs are on their way! If your baby signs, when did you see the first sign?

My baby just started to do bye-bye as well! We too are doing eat, milk, ball, more adn bye-bye/hi. He really watches us when we do them too like he knows. He's so close to doing more I can feel it. I can't wait till we can do when he has pain or discomfort so I'll know how to help.

I started signing around 4 months (I know early!!) dd is now 6.5 and I haven't seen a sign yet...but I'm pretty sure its going to be "dog" I think most babies start to pick it up around 9-12 months! I love it! Can't wait until she can use it with us!!

I started a few words at around 6 months.. flash foward 10 months.. and my dd is doing so well with signing!!! She has mastered over 20 words! Keep with it, its awesome!! The only hard part is keeping everyone else informed what she knows. Like grandparents, cause she will be trying to tell them something but they dont have a clue. she is picking it up so quickly now it only takes me showing and telling her maybe a hand full of times before she masters it.
