They can pull at their ears, not want to eat (especially if being held on a certain side) have fever, runny nose, cough, I cant think of Amayas other symptoms but if I do think of some I will let you know.

Sometimes they don't have any symptoms or ear pulling. They are mysterious little boogers. My older son often gets unexplained fevers with no other symptoms and then after a couple of days, he's fine. Usually when my son had an ear infection I could see other signs everywhere. Usually his eyes have dark circles and are swollen and a really really grudy nose. His ear infections are allergy related.

Other than allergies like Sonya's son, what are other reasons for babies getting them?

Most ear infestions are allergy related--either food or environmental. Toxic chemicals in the home can also be a cause. When I switched to natural, nontoxic cleaners my sons ear infections stopped. I think his tiny system just couldn't handle the chemicals. I have learned that clean doesn't smell like a pine forest, amonia or bleach---it doesn't smell at all.
