Skin Problem

I have a 4 month old boy that has really sensitive skin. He was getting eczema from his milk and we ended up having to switch it...but now I've noticed if he even slightly rubs his head or cheeks this rash comes up on it immediately....it looks like eczema. It's strange because his face will be clear as can be and then he gets sleepy and rubs his face and head with those hands and these places come up like welps and they are soooo dry. I just think it's strange. I keep vasoline on them. I've showed the doc over and over again and she says he just has sensetive skin. Anybody else know about this??

petroliam jelly like vaseline will not help. Try aquaphor for babys mixed with a touch of cortozone cream or my favorite...disneys exzema cream (its edible its so natural)

Yes, I actually have this problem. I have found out that it is a allergic reaction to certain things. I am allergic to any hair other than my own. My husband can kiss me with a little peach fuzz and I break out in welps. They itch real bad too. It also happens around dogs and cats or anything with hair. I can stand next to them or whatever...(I actually have a cat) but as soon as i touch it and touch somewhere else on my body ....I break out. I find that washing my hands after touching anything hairy helps. LOL And if i break out I wash the area with soap and water really really good. With in an hour it usually disappears.

hi, my ds too, has very very sensitive skin -- we got a RX for cortizone cream -- we use it sparingly, when we get real flare ups -- interestingly my husband has very sensitive skin too, perhaps ds gets it from him.
