My son will not sleep on his back i can get him to sleep then lay him on his back then 10 min later all i see is arms reaching in the air as if hes falling and trying to grab something and hes back up and i cant let him sleep on his stomach because im scared of sids arrghhhh hes still sleeping on my chest and hes almost 4 months old has anyone been through this and if so what are you doing about it

Seems he still has a pretty strong moro reflex, so I'd say you should swaddle him and that should help him stay asleep.

I find the best way to swaddle is to swaddle with a receiving blanket and then a second swaddle with the kiddopotamus (sp) swaddling blanket. There is NO ESCAPING!! LOL!!

Once your child can roll over on his belly it's fine to let them sleep on it but never lay them down on their belly. At least that is what I read. I was worried too but my son learned to roll over early and he loved to sleep on his belly.
