Danny has started sleeping that long (almost 4mos). Is this ok or normal? It is scaring the h__l out of me. I can't get any sleep.

I'd say you are lucky! LOL! Lucas is already 4 mos, still gets up about twice a night, and only sleeps about 9 hours at night total! Count your blessings! I think it is normal, but I am jealous : )

Jamie - December 21

Renity sleeps about that long most nights.

Rachael, don't be jealous. Seriously, I am paronoid. He has done for 3 nights in a row. He would go to slepp at about 1am and sleep to 1 in the afternoon. I keep jumping up to check on him.

I think it is normal Brittany is 3 1/2 mos old and she can sleep about 10 hrs a night. She refuses to take naps during the day though.

Jamie, Were you scared when she first started sleeping that long? Or am I the only basketcase!

TC - December 21

Same qu. for Sara.

I was just kidding TC, I get so delirious from lack of sleep that 10-11 hours sounds like a dream! I would have a serious heart attack if Lucas ever even sleeps through the night! LOL! I definitely understand what you are saying : )

Completely normal! My son just had a 5 1/2 month appointment and I as well was concerned because he is sleeping 7-7am! The Dr. told me babies need 13-14 hours of sleep because there growing so fast! Dont be worried be happy...

Nah...I didn't even really notice the first time...I put her down, then went to bed myself, and woke up when she woke up - I thought for a minute that DH must've gotten up with her during the night, then I remembered that my DH never gets up with her...the 2nd night, I woke up around 1 a.m. cause I was pretty engorged...she was still sleeping though, so I pumped and went back to bed...the third night was the same; by then, I figured that she was just ready to sleep through and started to enjoy it.

caleb sleeps 12 hours but i am not worried,,,,

sara - December 21

yes, at first, if I would wake up and she had been asleep for a while, I would lean over and watch her to see if she was breathing. Then I couldn't go back to sleep thinking she would wake up any minute ready to eat, so I would keep checking her every little bit for the rest of the night. But now I am used to her sleeping all night and I can rest better.

Jadyns Mommy - December 21

I dont get it. Jadyn is 7 months and the longest she sleeps is 6 hours and that is RARE! She is a piglet so she still wakes up and wants to eat in the middle of the night even though she ate just before bed. I can see where I would be paranoid if she slept 12 hours but I will sure be relieved when she actually does too....

TC - December 21

I am going to try and relax tonight. Thanks ladies!! :< )

The first couple nights freaked me out too!I too was checking up on him and did not get any sleep. Now I know it's normal.

Christy - December 21

I understand your fear, TC. My six week old slept almost 7 hours last night and I thought the worst when I woke up this morning! He's been petty sleepy all day, but he looks fine when he's awake. I a__sume he is recovering from his growth spurt- lol.

SonyaM - December 21

When my first son did this I was a nervous wreck, but this time I just enjoy it and keep sleeping myself. It is so nice to actually feel refreshed in the morning having an 11 week old.
