Sleeping In Crib

Ok my son is 5 months old and has been sleeping in his crib since he was about 6 weeks old. Well we moved recently and he no longer wants to sleep through the night. We have tried everything and finally resorted to CIO, although I am not very good at it. But we took all blankets and stuffed animals out of his crib because he likes to grab them and put them over his face when he is crying. Well now he pushes himself up all the way to the top of his crib and gets up under is bumper bad that goes around his crib. I have tried stuffing the pad into his mattress and he still gets up under there. Once he is up under there and sits and pushes his head up against the bed over and over again. Does anyone know a solution to this? Even when he is just sleeping at night he some how manages to get up under there and it worries me so much that I am constantly checking on him. I would take the pad off but I am afraid he will hurt himself by hitting his head up against the crib over and over again.

Oh gosh. I wish I could help but I don't have any advice. I do know that moving to a new place takes some adjusting. Is he retaliating against the CIO method or do you think its just adjusting to a new home? What were his sleeping habits before you moved?

hi - i think you can buy a mesh liner to put in place of the bumper pad. this way, he won't get his limbs caught between the crib pillars AND he won't suffocate on the bumper pad. good luck!

Before we moved he began sleeping all; night around 7 weeks. We have now lived at our new house for 2 months and he just cannot get used to it. Also CIO does not seem to work for him he will just cry and cry for hours and when he does finally go to sleep he will wake up 15-20 min later and starts in again.
