My daughter is three months old and she turns on her side to sleep by her own.... the SIDS websites say that when you find your baby on theside to turn them back on their back... ..but she turns on her side again...anyone else?? Should I worry. She looks so confortable...

my dd slept on her side from pretty early on. Her pediatrician said no problem, just stick to side or back. So we left her. I think it is pretty safe. Also I noticed after she was born the nurses had her propped on her side when she was swaddled in the nursery. So there must be something to it.

My dd Mattea was proped on her side at the hospital too and she's been a side sleeper since the day she was born. Didn't matter if I layed her on her back she always turned to the side. If it will make you feel a bit easier place her arm (the one that's underneath) out straight so there will be no way she can get on her tummy while she's sleeping. Just wait until she starts rolling over and starts sleeping on her belly in the middle of the night...it about gave me a heart attack.

I've read some info that says back only and then others say back or side (if on side put lower arm out front).

Personally, I think side is better anyway. Flip her from one side to the other every night and you'll not have to worry about flat spots on the head. :)
