My dd is 1 week old today, and until yesterday afternoon was this calm, happy baby, but the last day and a half she's been SO fussy. I'm br___tfeeding, and also until this time, she would just suckle away the entire 15 minutes. Now she's really fussy when I feed her, and she'll just randomly pull away and start SCREAMING. She doesn't eat nearly as well either. I have to coax and coax and coax her to eat. I can't figure out what's wrong and it's so frustrating because I just want to help her.... Is she maybe just having a bad day with feeding? Any tips? I've tried changing position while feeding... and I burp her between br___ts...

It is a little frustrating at first. Do you just let her eat until she's done? I ask because you said she would suckle the entire 15 minutes. I know the books say to time them, but don't. Just let her suck until she pulls off. And are you feeding her on demand or are you trying to schedule her? For the first month or so you really just have to feed her on demand, whenever she wants to. Even though it feels like all she does is eat! :O} That will establish your milk supply the best. And you have to make sure she is latched on correctly. Otherwise, she's just suckling and not really getting any milk, not mention your b___bs will hurt! Good luck! It will get better.
