my 4 month old son just got the go ahead to start eating solids the doctor said to start with a spoon well of course he hates the spoon so i decided to put it in a feeder and h__l take it but my question is how much (in ounces) how long in between feedings should i wait and what did you do to get your lo to take the spoon

We started w/ a spoon and didn't give dd the option of anything else. She learned real quick if she wanted food, she have to use the spoon. Are you doing cereal or fruits/veggies? We started w/ 1 feeding a day for a couple weeks (around 7pm-dinner) then bumped it up to 2feedings (noon and 7pm) and at 6months old we bumped it up to 3 (10am, 1pm and 7pm) wih b___b/bottle in between. As far as how much, that depends on your lo. Make about a tablespoon at first because you can always make/heat up some more.
